Summary:This Assistant Manger HR position will assist and provide support in daily HR functions, operations, and cross departmental projects. This position will manage daily human resources operations and provide support through out all functions of HR such as but not limited to recruitment & staffing, employee relations, benefits & payroll administration, compliance & records management, training and development, policies & procedures and others.Responsibilities:• Conducts and assists with talent acquisition, recruitment, advertisements; job fairs; conducts phone interviews, background checks; extends job offers; hiring; and onboarding/orientation in compliance with company policies and laws. Assists with new employee activities; collaborates with hiring managers for onboarding/orientation plans for new hires; acts as the point of contact and resource for new hires during the onboarding/orientation period.• Assists in conducting annual Job Analysis. Based on the feedback and results, proposes suggested changes to the existing Job Descriptions.• Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.• Ensure the maintenance of HRI, benefits, records, policies, employee management practices in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.• Ensure the implementation of company policies, maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; assists in reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance and updated policies/guidelines.• Write, revise, update policies and keep track of the effective dates and policy versions.• Assist in conducting and recording the exit interview process; communicates gathered information to the management in effective and efficient manner.• Assist with onboarding and offboarding, training programs, Affirmative Action Pans, Inclusion & diversity plans, and performance appraisals.• Prepare reports, perform analysis, create and update dashboards, and prepare presentations. Assist in preparing compliance and other reports as required by federal or state agencies.• Assists senior management on human resources management practices and issues.• Employee-relations activities and programs such as but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, investigations, employee recognition programs and others.• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.• Performs other duties/projects as assigned by the CAO and HR Manager.Job Requirements - Minimum● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; or Business Administration; or related field from an accredited educational institution in the US.● 5-7 years’ full-time experience working in US in human resources, with a demonstrated and proven responsibility as the primary advisor for employee relations issues.● Solid working knowledge of employment laws (federal and multiple states).Required Skills:● Experience working in a corporation as part of a substantial HR team● Non-profit experience and Multi-state HR experience● Superior written and verbal communication skills● Able to handle sensitive information in a highly confidential manner● Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills● Able to take initiative and execute assigned tasks in a timely and flawless manner● Strong teamwork acumen with a profound ability to work under extreme pressure● Exceptional interpersonal skillsJob Requirements - Preferred● Master’s in Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution● HR (SHRM, SPHR, PHR) certification, or HR certification from an accredited educational institutionLegal Status & Work Authorization:The candidate applying to join ICNA Relief must have a legal status, social security number and work authorization by the relevant US authorities.
