What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry Clerk position at Icare360 Imaging Center?
Responsibilities:
- Process requests for release of protected health information (PHI) accurately and within set timeframes.
- Safeguard patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- Retrieve, reproduce, and deliver requested PHI using photocopy, scanning, fax, or electronic systems.
- Verify authorization requirements and requestor type before releasing information.
- Enter and track requests using client applications; maintain data accuracy.
- Review and ensure quality and compliance of all released information.
- Prepare and send cover letters, pre-payment notices, and invoices to requestors.
- Process and record payments according to client policy.
- Use multiple computer systems to complete requests efficiently.
- Perform other administrative or assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or RHIT preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, records management, or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficient in computer use and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
