Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This role involves accurately inputting, updating, and managing data to support operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous office or clerical experience in a medical office is preferred, along with familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
Duties
- Receives, enters, and transcribes lab orders received from referral sources, efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry by verifying information against source documents
- Verifies insurance to check patients' eligibility and benefits.
- Support team with clerical duties including typing, data verification, and general office tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience with data entry, office administration, or clerical work preferred
- Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems is required
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy with attention to detail
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with transcription, order entry, data collection, and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment is preferred
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
