Senior Technical Accountant
Austin, TX – Onsite – Full Time

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Researching, interpreting, and applying US GAAP for complex and non-routine transactions
- Preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos and position papers
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining company accounting policies and procedures
- Monitoring new accounting standards and assess applicability and impact on company and industry activities
- Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Assisting with preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and SEC filings
- Evaluating accounting implications of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
- Reviewing and approving complex journal entries, estimates, and accounting conclusions
- Serving as technical accounting liaison with external auditors
- Preparing audit documentation
- Support SOX readiness, internal controls design and documentation
- Assisting with compliance related to government audits, customer reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Identifying accounting risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensuring accounting practices align with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and government contracting requirements
- Supporting accounting considerations related to long-term contracts, cost structures, and program accounting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive technical accounting experience
- Experience working with enterprise ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with financial reporting and data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Demonstrated experience preparing technical accounting memoranda
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- CPA or equivalent advanced accounting certification
- Experience with FAR/CAS and government contracting accounting
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
