Senior Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Performing revenue accounting under ASC 606 and inventory accounting processes
- Executing and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Preparing and posting journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of close activities in accordance with reporting deadlines
- Analyzing financial results and investigating variances
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies and aged reconciling items
- Maintaining reconciliation schedules and supporting continuous improvement of reconciliation processes
- Supporting external audits and quarterly reviews
- Assisting with SOX compliance
- Ensuring adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures
- Maintaining strong documentation to support audit readiness
- Partnering with FP&A and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Supporting accounting for operational activities
- Assisting in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
- Understanding of ASC 606 and long-term contract accounting a plus
- Familiarity with public company reporting and SEC requirements
- Experience with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
- Ability to work with financial reporting and data analysis tools
- CPA, or equivalent advanced certification a plus
- Experience in a public company or IPO-ready environment
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm)
- Experience with account reconciliation tools (e.g., FloQast or similar)
- Exposure to inventory and cost accounting
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
