Job Summary
Arizona Autism Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic interventions to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. - Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations (MET/IEP) to determine student eligibility and specific needs.
- Classroom Integration: Deliver speech and language services within the natural classroom environment to support functional communication and academic success.
- ABA Collaboration: Incorporate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies into therapy sessions and consult regularly with BCBAs and Behavior Technicians.
- AAC Support: Provide specialized support for students using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including programming and staff training.
- Supervision: Mentor and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed, ensuring compliance and quality of service delivery.
- Compliance: Maintain meticulous records for Medicaid billing and ensure all IEP paperwork meets state and federal regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Licensure: * Valid Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Speech-Language Pathologist PreK-12 Certificate.

- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (Clinical Fellows may be considered depending on supervision availability).
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working with students with ASD in a school setting.

- Strong knowledge of various AAC devices and software (e.g., Proloquo2Go, TouchChat).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
- Frequent stooping, reaching, standing, and walking to engage with students at their level.
Note for Applicants: AZACS values optimism and perseverance. We look for clinicians who are ready to innovate and adapt therapy to meet the unique sensory and behavioral needs of every child.
