Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across diverse settings including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient facilities.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical findings.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards for patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience in critical care environments including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, suturing, catheterization, and airway management.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Competence in managing patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and provide acute pain management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is a plus.
