Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst II to support the Transportation functional team and both internal and external customers. In this role, you will serve as the process owner for service, volumetric, and project analytics related to the physical flow of products across a complex and dynamic transportation network. This position focuses on end-to-end cost analysis, carrier and vendor performance measurement, and the delivery of comprehensive reporting and insights to support transportation strategy and execution. The role reports to the Manager or Director of Transportation Services.

Responsibilities

Analytics

• Measure carrier, provider, vendor, and customer performance against defined service and cost targets
• Support business requirements gathering and evaluation for carrier and provider networks
• Conduct analytics to support transportation sourcing, RFPs, and contractual negotiations
• Leverage business data and analytics to drive efficiency, optimization, and delivery solutions
• Identify freight flow cost reduction and service improvement opportunities by analyzing transportation costs, transit times, and delivery performance

Reporting

• Provide routine and ad hoc reporting and analytics for supported lines of business
• Produce executive- and management-level performance reports with high attention to detail and quality
• Present and interpret key performance indicators and leading metrics
• Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly service performance presentations

Process Ownership

• Build strong partnerships with key service providers and lead routine performance reviews
• Publish carrier scorecards and drive continuous process improvement initiatives
• Own transportation functional support activities from data collection through implementation
• Identify gaps in carrier lane coverage and collaborate with strategic and core carriers to meet service commitments
• Support provider selection and cost optimization through accurate business requirement collection

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of transportation-related processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; data visualization experience preferred
• Working knowledge of transportation, distribution, and supply chain concepts
• Strong business acumen with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented, customer service–driven mindset
• Demonstrated initiative with the ability to learn and adapt to new processes

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred
• Prior experience in a customer service–focused environment
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications and analytics tools
• Experience in retail or CPG transportation, carrier environments, or multi-site operations preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour
