ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·       Manage inbound material flow to fully support manufacturing while controlling freight costs and monitoring duties and value of shipments.

·       Work with customs clearance to insure proper use of HTS codes, country of origin and process disclosure statements.

·       Maintain CTPAT programs, support TDK global common regulations and compliance to EPA regulations.

·       Process surveys and support audits which need to be submitted to TDK corporate, customers or regulatory agencies. 

·       Review and approve all freight and customs invoices, check HTS coding on the customs entry form submitted by the freight forwarder.

·       Assist with outsourcing assemblies to support changes in manufacturers location and country of origin considering the changing tariff rates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

·       Must understand shipping regulations, documentation procedures and logistics operations.

·       Must be familiar with import and export compliance with US laws and international trade regulations including tariff classification and country of origin.        

EXPERIENCE: Three to six years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  Intermediate skills: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access, or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software.  Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  The following are characteristics associated with the environment in which this job is typically performed.

·       Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) 

SALARY RANGE    

The starting annual base pay for the role is between USD $60,000 and $75,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
