General Purpose: The Inventory Specialist I is based at the South Hackensack, NJ Distribution Center. This position plays a key role in assuring that stock is available for the Outbound function to fulfill sales orders in a timely manner.

- Performs Inventory cycle counts and movements across multiple facilities 100 / 120 and 71.
- Maintains stock levels in different buildings based on data provided by the Inventory, Operations, etc.
- Performs stock checks / cycle counts as requested.
- Performs product checks / audits, re-labels for order discrepancies.
- Performs inventory transfers / consolidations in Dematic, Carousel, Bulk Positions (as Needed)
- Assists with the review and disposition of all returned items.
- Assists with inventory scrap process.
- Operates various machinery including equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, box truck and electric pallet jack.
- Put away all materials staged in processing zones.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with Hytorc Policy.
- Assists in departmental functions to support company goals.
- Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience Required
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience is required.
- At least 2 years of Inventory control is required.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Various Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.),
- SAP, WMS, Dematic is a plus.
- Ability to climb, stand, squat, bend and kneel on floor.
- Able to lift to 75lbs with assistance.
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is a plus.
- Office and Warehouse on occasion.
- Standard office environment of moderate noise level.
- 25% physical counting duties in a warehouse environment.
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and travel on occasion.
- Work in climates that may be hot or cold without optimal heating/cooling.
