The objective is to ensure that HYTORC locations comply with HYTORC EHS policies & programs aligned to local, state, federal & global regulations for environmental, health, and safety issues affecting our associates, buildings, products, and the land and water we impact.

Program Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Monitor and assess relevant policies from governing bodies (federal, state, municipal, global) and individual sites that impact company operations.
- Analyze compliance requirements and integrate them efficiently into company procedures and policies.
- Monitor company operations for adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and workplace inspections to identify and correct hazards.
- Maintain thorough records of compliance reviews for audit purposes and regulatory reference.
- Manage regulatory reporting and permit applications/renewals.
- Conduct EHS pre-qualification assessments and audits for contractors and suppliers.
- Review and complete EHS customer forms and surveys to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Manage sustainability programs and initiatives for all applicable corporate locations where the company operates.

- Investigate accidents, injuries, and illnesses, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Lead and oversee the company-wide Safety Committee program.

- Responsible for OSHA/EMR tracking and reporting, analyze trends, and develop corrective actions for improvements. EHS initiatives, programs and regulatory practices to ensure proper compliance in operations.
- Ensure essential safety, health, and environmental training is provided to employees and supervisors in an effective manner.
- Ensure appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training is provided for employees, managers and supervisors in an effective manner.
- Ensure all safety-related training records are recorded in the company Learning Management System (LMS).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks and environmental hazards.
- Conduct proper investigations, root cause analysis on safety incidents and develop corrective action to mitigate reoccurrences.
- Establish a program for data collection, analysis, & reporting on Carbon Emissions.

Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in EHS compliance, safety program management, or sustainability initiatives for a multi-national corporation.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, 3rd-party compliance portals, and industry-specific safety regulations.
- Experience with HSE audits, training programs, and risk assessments.
- Certifications in Associate Safety Professional (ASP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), OSHA (General Industry).
- In-person training delivery (classroom) experience a plus.
- Experience leading, implementing, and standardizing organizational EHS programs across multiple operating locations (in person and virtual).
- Proven ability to assess corporate EHS requirements, perform gap analyses against internal policies, and provide strategic recommendations to support compliance, risk mitigation, and effective customer relationship management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience with eLearning training development platform a plus.
- The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Work environment is in a mix of office areas, classrooms, Shipping/Receiving, Manufacturing, Testing, and Calibration areas.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, if required.
