Social Media Marketing Coordinator
Location: Ogden, UT (on-site)
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is the operational backbone of HydroJug's social presence. You own the scheduling, technical setup, and in-stream community interaction for every TikTok Live — and you own day-to-day content scheduling, community management, and platform monitoring across all active channels. Your job is to make sure nothing slips: lives go live on time, posts go out on schedule, and every DM, comment, or flag gets handled before it becomes a problem.
This role exists so Gracie Ashworth (Social & Affiliate Manager) can stay at altitude — focused on strategy and channel growth — instead of getting pulled into execution details. You're her execution layer, and you own it completely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- TikTok Live scheduling technical execution — Calendar ownership, pre-live checklist completion, A/V and connectivity troubleshooting, in-stream moderation, post-live wrap notes
- Daily content scheduling across platforms — Publishing cadence management in the social scheduling tool (e.g., Later, Sprout, or equivalent), ensuring approved content goes out on time across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and any secondary platforms
- Community management — DM inbox management, comment responses, Facebook/Instagram Group engagement; escalating anything that needs brand or legal eyes
- Platform monitoring flagging — Watching for trending topics, comment sentiment shifts, negative PR signals, or viral moments that need a fast response; surfacing to Gracie immediately
- Secondary platform publishing cadence — Owning the posting rhythm for platforms outside TikTok, maintaining consistency with the content calendar
SUCCESS CRITERIA
30 days: You've completed every scheduled TikTok Live without a technical failure. You own the scheduling tool and the publishing calendar. Gracie hasn't had to personally handle a DM or comment thread.
60 days: Community response times are under 2 hours during business hours. You've built a pre-live checklist that works for every scenario and documented it. You've flagged at least one platform trend or sentiment shift that Gracie was able to act on.
90 days: TikTok Live is running like a machine. You're proactively surfacing content performance patterns, spotting community feedback that should influence strategy, and bringing Gracie solutions rather than problems. You're trusted to represent the HydroJug voice in real-time interactions without additional oversight.
REPORTING & ORGANIZATION
- Gracie Ashworth, Social Media & Affiliate Manager — Your direct manager and strategic lead. You execute; she directs.
- Mckenzie Jenaway, Retention & Owned Marketing Manager — Copy Approver for any written brand communications. AI generates first-draft copy; Mckenzie approves; you execute.
- Content and Creative teams — Coordinating on assets, visuals, and video needed for scheduled posts and live productions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of hands-on social media coordination or community management experience, ideally at a DTC or consumer brand
- Comfortable running TikTok Live from a technical and operational standpoint — you know what "going live" actually means end-to-end
- Organized and detail-obsessed: you manage multiple publishing calendars and nothing slips
- Fast responder with good brand instincts — you can represent a brand voice in DMs and comments without second-guessing every word
- Familiarity with social scheduling tools (Later, Sprout, Buffer, or similar)
- Utah-based or willing to relocate; some live events may require on-site presence
