What You Will Be DoingYou will be the engine that drives our site preparation and field operations, ensuring projects stay safe, organized, and on schedule:
- Site Preparation & Execution: Execute strenuous manual labor tasks across various outdoor worksites, including digging trenches and managing natural environments to ensure project milestones are met.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operate a wide variety of hand tools, specialized power tools, and light equipment.
- Logistics & Material Handling: Load and unload work trucks, expertly managing material handling and secure storage to streamline field logistics.
- Site Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean, highly secure job site daily by retrieving all tools and equipment to eliminate potential hazards. Perform necessary light maintenance on equipment to ensure all machinery remains in peak operating condition.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Site Foreman and other laborers, following complex technical instructions to maintain high site productivity.
- Proactive Reporting: Identify and report safety concerns or incidents immediately to leadership to ensure an absolutely secure work environment for the whole crew.
Required Qualifications:
- Physical Capabilities: The proven ability to perform strenuous physical manual labor safely, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Environmental Endurance: The absolute willingness to work outdoors in varying, sometimes adverse, weather conditions and field environments.
- Licensure: A valid state Drivers License is strictly required prior to the start of employment.
- Reliability: Proven dependability with the ability to strictly adhere to attendance and mandatory overtime schedules.
- Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills to transmit and accurately follow technical field instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: 1 years of proven experience in construction, commercial landscaping, or a related heavy field environment.
- Safety Knowledge: Basic knowledge of first aid and standard safety precautions specifically for heavy civil or highway construction.
- Equipment Mastery: Previous hands-on experience safely operating specialized power tools and light construction equipment.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
