Construction Laborer

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
• Support carpenters, masons, and other trades with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and trim carpentry
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
• Help with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and formwork installation for various structures
• Install rebar reinforcement and assist with masonry work including bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying
• Support heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or concrete pumps under supervision
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist in accurate material placement and project execution
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and supplies to ensure timely progress on the job site
• Support renovation and restoration projects by preparing surfaces, caulking gaps, or applying plastering techniques
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Experience

• Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or technical drawings is advantageous
• Hands-on experience with concrete finishing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing or flooring installation is desirable
• Ability to operate heavy machinery or equipment such as concrete mixers or cranes is beneficial
• Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites is essential
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
