Role Description The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role supports day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and orientation, and coordinating training activities. The Human Resources Assistant helps administer benefits, updates information in HRIS, and responds to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Additional responsibilities include preparing HR documents and helping ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The role collaborates closely with general and operational management and other departments to promote a positive and efficient workplace.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) practices and ability to support HR Management activities.
- Versed in payroll functions and solution services.
- Experience working with and maintaing accurate employee data.
- Skills in Benefits Administration, including assisting employees with enrollment and basic benefits inquiries.
- Ability to coordinate and support Training programs, including scheduling and tracking completion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office Suite and Intuit Quickbooks) and basic data entry.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role is beneficial.
