Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director, Corporate Communications to manage internal and external communications across North and South America. This role will serve as the corporate communications lead, ensuring a consistent and aligned corporate voice across our business, our subsidiaries, and in partnership with our labels and global teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in music and entertainment, with a background in record labels strongly preferred.
This person will manage our internal communications strategy and work closely as a liaison with the external PR companies that HYBE partners with. Additionally, this role will oversee executive visibility efforts, including evaluating and approving speaking engagements, preparing leaders for public appearances, and reinforcing HYBE’s reputation as an industry innovator.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Communications Leadership
Develop and drive a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with HYBE AMERICA’s business goals and global brand. Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all regions, labels, and subsidiaries.
- Internal Communications
Build and manage internal comms plans that engage, inform, and inspire employees. Partner with leadership and EVP, Comms and PR to reinforce company culture, strategy, and initiatives.
- External Communications & PR Management
Work closely with external PR consultants and with in-house PR staff across North and South America. Manage media relations, including narrative development, press releases, crisis communications, and thought leadership.
- Crisis & Issues Management
Anticipate, manage, and mitigate reputational risks, partnering with third parties as needed. Manage communications response planning and execution during sensitive or urgent situations.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of progressive communications experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Strong background in the music industry, ideally from a record label, with an understanding of artist relations and promotional campaigns.
- Experience working across North and South America (preferred), with sensitivity to cultural and market nuances.
- Proven ability to manage internal communications, external PR, and executive visibility simultaneously.
- Track record of working in global companies, coordinating across time zones and diverse teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong executive presence and ability to advise senior leaders with credibility.
- Crisis communications expertise is a must.

Salary Range
The projected salary range for this job is $130,000-$150,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
