Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely vendor payments and revenue tracking, and supporting the integrity of our month-end close and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically strong, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth accounts payable operations, accurate accruals, and compliance with accounting standards. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processes
• Set up and maintain vendor and customer master data
• Process vendor invoices and provide list of required cash payments
• Review outstanding expense reports and unprocessed invoices to provide accurate accruals
• Assist the Accounting Manager in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare of journal entries and compile supporting documents
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Revenue cycle management from recognition to billing and collection
• Support of the external audit
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• 2 years of relevant accounting experience (industry or public)
• Knowledge of general financial and managerial accounting
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and within hard deadlines
• Ability to adapt and pivot in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

It’s a bonus if you have

• Prior record label / accounting firm experience
• In-depth understanding of IFRS and US-GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is $71,000 to $80,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
