Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our hotel’s Engineering team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all hotel HVAC systems, including guestroom units, public area systems, back‑of‑house equipment, and refrigeration units
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and related mechanical systems
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems to maintain optimal performance and comfort levels
• Ensure all HVAC and mechanical equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with brand and regulatory standards
  
  

Hotel Operations Support

• Respond promptly to guest-impacting HVAC issues and work collaboratively with the Front Office and Operations teams
• Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
• Assist with energy-efficiency initiatives and help identify opportunities to reduce operational costs
• Support general engineering tasks and emergency response procedures when needed
  
  

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and work areas
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• EPA certification required
• 2–3 years of HVAC experience, preferably in a hotel or large commercial facility
• Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, refrigeration, and building mechanical systems
• Trade school certification or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years)
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and work efficiently under pressure
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions
