The Entry Level Cook is a culinary position that requires basic culinary skills or related cooking experience and good communication skills. This position will work within one of our 3 outlets. Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago offers an exciting culinary scene that celebrates Chicago. Each of our restaurants and bars feature unique menus and stunning spaces, all located near McCormick Place Convention Center. Drawing inspiration from the 1893 World’s Fair, Third Star serves artisanal cuisine with international flavors. Take a journey through Southeast Asian street food in the casual, colorful Sixes & Eights. Lit with the glow of thousands of Edison bulbs, Arc Bar offers a modern edge that’s intimate, yet high energy.
Sixes & Eights: Named for the favorable numbers of Japanese and Chinese history, Sixes & Eights offers an eclectic culinary experience that elevates the bold flavors of Southeast Asian street food. Qualifications
- A culinary degree is preferred
- Previous culinary experience is strongly preferred
- Must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Capable of performing repetitious duties
- Fair verbal, and written communication skills are required
- Must have flexible availability to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
