Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm, welcoming demeanor
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using the restaurant's seating system
- Provide accurate wait times and maintain efficient table rotation
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Answer phones, take messages, and assist with general guest inquiries
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth dining room operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Follow Hyatt and local safety and sanitation standards
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
