Summary

Greeters are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for guests. These individuals have the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interactions that include providing table accommodations and offering menu recommendations. Greeters may be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction. If you have worked as a restaurant host or restaurant hostess, your skills are invaluable to the position of Greeter at Hyatt. Your restaurant job experience will give you the tools to be successful as a restaurant Greeter at Hyatt.

• Greet and promptly recognize all guests upon arrival with a warm, friendly, and welcoming attitude.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables, ensuring efficient seating and a smooth dining experience.
• Provide menus and answer guest questions regarding menu offerings, restaurant services, and amenities.
• Assist servers by providing support throughout the guests' dining experience to ensure attentive, courteous, and efficient service.
• Communicate guest needs, preferences, and special requests to restaurant staff.
• Monitor dining room flow and coordinate seating to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment by interacting with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean, organized, and presentable.
• Thank guests upon departure and help ensure a positive final impression.
• Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag in accordance with brand standards.

• Previous host, hostess, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong guest service focus with a positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and commitment to brand standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer and reservation system experience preferred.
