Summary
Experience Lake Tahoe from our scenic waterfront resort, nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains. At Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, our Pastry team supports dining experiences throughout the resort, from restaurants and banquets to special events and guest amenities.
As a Pastry Cook, you will assist with the daily preparation and production of pastries, desserts, breads, baked goods, and specialty items in accordance with our Pastry Shop standards. This is a hands-on culinary role that requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced resort environment.
Because much of our pastry and bakery production takes place before the resort begins its day, this position requires flexibility to work very early morning shifts, in addition to weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare pastries, desserts, breads, baked goods, and specialty items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist Pastry Chefs and higher-level bakers with daily production and preparation
Support pastry needs for restaurants, banquets, weddings, meetings, special events, and guest amenities
Follow recipes, portion standards, production lists, and banquet event orders to ensure consistency and quality
Assist with high-volume production during holidays, special events, and peak resort periods
Maintain proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of ingredients and finished products
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary Pastry Shop and workstation
Operate bakery and kitchen equipment safely and properly
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Assist with receiving, inventory, and organization of pastry products and supplies as needed
Collaborate with the broader Culinary team to support resort operations and guest needs
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef or Pastry leadership team
