What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen and Bath Designer position at HWC Custom Cabinetry?
HWC Custom Cabinetry is seeking an Experienced Kitchen and Bath Cabinetry Designer to join our team. Since 2004, we have served Charleston and its surrounding areas, providing the low country with both contemporary and traditional style cabinetry.
Each of our jobs include cabinet moldings, functional hardware, storage aids, premium accessories, fashion and custom finishes, etc. Our Designers strive to educate clients on what may be best while helping them organize their ideas.
Once the selections have been made, our Designers meticulously create technical renderings of the cabinetry for each room. This step is one of the most important, as those highly detailed drawings will ultimately become the "blueprints" our manufacturing facility will use to construct the product.
When the drawings are completed, a proposal is reviewed with the clients in a one on one meeting where changes can be discussed if needed. Ultimately reaching a finished product that captures their vision.
The preferred applicant will:

-Possess detailed organizational skills.
-Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Display good listening habits- humble, yet must demonstrate ability to lead a wide range of client types through the process confidently.
-Create executable drawings.
-In person and telephone sales ability is a MUST, as it relates to Kitchen & Bath work. Making contacts, leading prospects to a decision.
-Adapt quickly to a changing environment and open to learning new things.
-Be a good problem solver.
-Demonstrate experience in-Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
-Proficient in Cabinet Vision design software or a comparable software. Must present designs you have drawn, comparing to finished project with pictures.
-Willingness to work hours on the computer, creating detailed, technical drawings.
-Be able to do accurate on-site measurements, often on construction sites and incorporate into drawings. Basic math skills are imperative.
-Kitchen and Bath design certification, preferred.
