What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at HW Staffing Solutions?
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. A typical day includes:
- Performing incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Using inspection tools, from basic hand tools to advanced CMM capabilities.
- Verifying calibration of inspection equipment.
- Reviewing product and paperwork to meet blueprint, spec, and P.O. requirements.
- Supporting FAI (First Article Inspection) documentation.
- Creating and managing Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs).
- Participating in internal and external audits.
- Providing input on manufacturing work instructions and inspection methods.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement to strengthen our quality system.
What You'll Bring:
We’re looking for someone with strong technical skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- AS/BS in a technical field is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience accepted (relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control
- Familiarity with aerospace regulatory standards (preferred)
- Technical proficiency with inspection & test equipment
- Knowledge of GD&T principles
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and sit for long periods
- Strong foundation in quality control methodologies
- Analytical problem-solving abilities
- Blueprint, spec, and work instruction interpretation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ERP, and inspection software
- Mechanical aptitude & basic shop math
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
