Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Bookkeeper Assistant to support our accounting department. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen interest in finance and accounting. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and supporting daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Will be responsible for coding and processing incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and managing accounts receivable.
- Data Entry & Filing: Input, transcribe, and manage data within our accounting systems, maintaining an accurate and organized filing system.
- Financial Reporting Assistance: Work closely with the lead bookkeeper/accountant to produce accurate financial reports.
- General Support: Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1-2 years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience preferred; willing to train a motivated applicant.
- Software Proficiency: general computer skills including Excel, Word and Data entry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
