is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Technician / Working Foreman to join our growing HVAC department.
This is a hands-on field position for a strong commercial HVAC service technician who is ready to take on a leadership role. The successful candidate will diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, assist other technicians with difficult service calls, provide field guidance and help ensure work is completed safely and correctly.
This is not primarily an office or administrative position.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Work on rooftop units, split systems, package units, heat pumps, ductless systems and VRF/VRV equipment
- Assist technicians with difficult diagnostics and technical issues
- Lead small crews and assign field responsibilities when needed
- Review job conditions and identify required labor, materials and equipment
- Help develop repair recommendations and estimates
- Perform quality-control inspections of completed work
- Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers and office staff
- Ensure service reports, job photos and documentation are completed accurately
- Train and support junior HVAC technicians
- Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Experience with commercial rooftop units, split systems and related controls
- VRF/VRV experience is highly preferred
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
- Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Previous lead technician or foreman experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly with technicians and customers
- EPA certification required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Estimating experience is helpful but not required

Pay: $48.00 - $60.00 per hour
