Our client, a leading commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems on a large-scale high-rise residential construction project in the Miami market.

Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent will lead field execution of all MEP systems from rough-in through final commissioning and turnover. This individual will coordinate closely with project management, subcontractors, consultants, and field leadership to ensure building systems are installed correctly, inspections are successfully completed, and project milestones remain on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field coordination of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, low-voltage, and life safety systems.
- Coordinate MEP activities with structural, framing, drywall, ceiling, interior finishes, and turnover schedules.
- Manage above-ceiling coordination and ensure all systems are ready for inspections and closeout.
- Monitor equipment installation, startup, testing, balancing, commissioning, and system readiness.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, procurement issues, design discrepancies, and manpower concerns before they impact project timelines.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accountability across all MEP trades.
- Maintain inspection logs, issue tracking, startup documentation, punch lists, and project documentation.
- Partner with Project Managers and field leadership to proactively resolve technical and construction challenges.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while maintaining quality and schedule expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing MEP systems on commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, or high-rise construction projects.
- Proven experience overseeing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection installations from rough-in through project turnover.
- Strong understanding of building systems, inspections, testing, balancing, commissioning, and startup procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors in fast-paced construction environments.
- Florida construction experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
