As an Indirect Buyer at Husqvarna Construction in Olathe, KS, you are responsible for the acquisition of products and services to support operations and post-sale requirements. The position will also be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, maintaining prescribed inventory levels, and focusing on achieving the departmental KPIs. This position is critical for ensuring the flow of material from the supply chain to the internal and external users of the products. Husqvarna Construction is a part of Husqvarna AB. RESPONSIBILITIES Material Acquisition (60%) Identify material needs based upon S&OP and MRP requirements Enter purchase orders for direct and indirect material as required Expedite and reschedule open orders Process secondary operations Support new product development initiatives as needed Monitoring Supplier Performance (15%) Monitor shipping discrepancies (quality, counts, invoicing) Follow-up with past due delivery dates and report on delivery performance Suggest, implement, and document corrective actions Participate in supplier/inventory improvement workshops Inventory Management (15%) Monitor Stock/Non-Stock items and identify/implement proper safety stocks Manage excess and obsolete inventory Administrative (10%) Populate and update product master database. Update and populate cost detail changes. Run monthly purchasing and open order reports and work with suppliers as needed. Be the principal liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers for the procurement of goods and services. Provide subject matter expertise on tactical sourcing aspects, marketplace sources, and pricing. Analyze all relevant data in support of procurement decisions in assigned area and present analysis to key stakeholders. Study trends, participating in interviewing vendors and recommending sources of supply to continuously lower direct/indirect spending costs. Manage and ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies and procedures. Oversee tactical procurement of goods and services by approving purchase orders and ensuring accuracy of requisitions based on contracted pricing.
