Position Summary

As a Charter Screener, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers by screening individuals, baggage, and aircraft to prevent the transport of prohibited items. This role is ideal for individuals with flexible availability and a strong commitment to service and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct passenger and baggage screening in compliance with TSA regulations

• Perform aircraft searches and monitor access to secure areas

• Identify and respond to potential security threats using proper procedures and equipment

• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and team members

• Provide travelers with TSA information in a courteous and professional manner

• Verify passenger manifests and check against security watch lists

• Maintain composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

• Present a professional appearance and adhere to all uniform standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• High school diploma or GED

• U.S. citizen

• Reliable transportation and phone access

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing (including random screenings)

• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions

• Neat and professional appearance — no visible tattoos (above the neck or below the wrist) or facial piercings

• Must own a smartphone and have an active email address

• Willingness to work overtime as needed

• Completion of all required Huntleigh and airline-specific training

• Active, valid VA State Police SORA license required

• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a 5-year driving abstract
