English Tutor
*This is an in-person position, working in Clifton Park, NY. It is not a remote position.
Huntington Learning Center of Clifton Park is looking for Reading and Writing Tutors to join our team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working directly with students in one-to-one and small group environments, helping students achieve their goals.
- Depending on your skill set, you might work with elementary and middle school students. Or you might help high school students prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and Regents.
- Cultivating a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required. Graduate students and teachers are highly encouraged to apply!
- Strong proficiency in Reading and Writing is required.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred but not required, as we can train qualified individuals on our successful methods.
- The patience and ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
- Strong communication skills.

Details:
- Individualized lesson plans for each student are provided. All you do is teach! Office staff handles all admin and parent interaction.
- Initial and ongoing PAID training is provided.
- Extremely flexible scheduling – choose your own hours.
- This is a part time role. Many of our part time tutors have been promoted into full time administrative/teaching positions.
- Weekly hours can range from 4 to 25, depending on your availability.
- During the Summer, we're open weekdays 9:30am-8pm and Saturdays 9:30am-1:30pm. During the school year, we’re open weekdays 3pm-9pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
