DEFINITION
Under general supervision operates power-driven grounds equipment as a regular and major assignment; services, maintains, and makes minor repairs to equipment; and performs related work as required.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
Positions in this class may be assigned to operate one or more types of power-driven equipment on a regular or rotating basis. Common to all positions in this class is the operation of power-driven equipment used in the maintenance and renovation of school grounds. Performs skilled operation of tractors, trucks, large power mowers, sweepers, rollers, jack hammers, chippers, chain saws, compressors, cement mixers, power edgers, power trimmers, and other grounds maintenance equipment
Requirements / Qualifications
In order to obtain Veterans' preference of 5 points, service must be in accordance to Personnel Commission rule 4230.6.A or updated law. Please attach DD214 Form to your application. Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1 F: When fewer than three (3) ranks of available eligible candidates remain on an eligibility list and the appointing authority has requested certification of
three ranks, the list may be terminated by the Personnel Director.
