Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform unsupervised work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Perform major component repairs and/or overhauls.
- Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
- Diagnose cause of most malfunctions and performs repairs.
- Performs electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Documents all required information for successful completion of a warranty claim.
- Must be able to meet specified times consistently.
- Road tests vehicles as required to maintain quality control.
- Assist other technicians in repairs, as required.
- Assist Shop Foreman with dispatch of Repair Orders to proper level of technician.
- Communicate with all levels of dealership management and OE manufacturer regarding repairs/diagnosis processes.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Installs optional equipment specified by the customer or dealer and reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Work in a team environment.
- Ensure that customers' vehicles are kept clean. Notify service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean including emptying trashcans, when needed.
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
