Test Engineer Overview:
The Test Engineer II is responsible for establishing test procedures and coordinating testing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, and Safety of Flight programs. This role supports the testing of aerospace electronic control units, rotating machines, and board-level subassemblies, including the design and fabrication of associated test setups and fixtures.
The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or electromechanical testing environments and possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform prototype and qualification testing during product development.
- Test aerospace electronic control units, rotating machines, and board-level subassemblies.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and data acquisition systems.
- Analyze test data and evaluate results against product specifications and requirements.
- Identify product or test issues and implement or recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with environmental, developmental, and qualification testing activities.
- Set up, modify, and troubleshoot test equipment, instrumentation, and control circuits.
- Support automated testing and data collection through test computer programming.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop effective testing methods and ensure product performance requirements are met.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, procedures, and test documentation.
- Support facility and infrastructure modifications related to new test equipment installations.
- Adhere to safety standards and contribute to health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Travel occasionally within and outside the U.S. as required.
Test Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
- OR Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related reporting tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on engineering and testing environment.
- U.S. Person status required due to export control regulations.
- Experience with aerospace power generation development and testing (Preferred).
- Experience with hydraulic and oil-cooled systems (Preferred).
- Familiarity with aerospace qualification and environmental testing standards (Preferred).
Salary : $45 - $60
