This is a true sales and hunting role focused on outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and securing new client partnerships. The ideal candidate is competitive, resilient, goal-oriented, and energized by building relationships and winning new business.
Business Development Representative Responsibilities
- Drive new business development through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social selling.
- Identify, engage, and secure new client partnerships for Hunter’s STEM-focused recruiting services.
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive outreach and lead generation.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand client hiring challenges and workforce needs.
- Meet and exceed sales activity and revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline updates, and client records.
- Partner closely with Recruiting and Account Management teams to support successful delivery and client growth.
- Work with Operations to prepare and finalize client agreements.
- Communicate business development activity, market feedback, and wins to leadership.
Business Development Representative Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting environments.
- Strong interest in a true hunting role focused on new business acquisition.
- Comfortable with cold outreach, relationship development, and closing new opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Competitive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and motivation to exceed goals.
- Ability to handle rejection, stay resilient, and maintain consistent outreach activity.
- Strong technological aptitude and CRM proficiency preferred.
