2-Year Contract Role

The Laboratory Technician will work in a research lab that supports stable operations, productivity, and growth projects across the network including the Composites and Insulation businesses.

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities

• Preparing samples for various analyses
• Working with various glass and raw material samples for the Composites and Insulation businesses.
• Physical property testing on a variety of materials.
• Working in hot environment to melt glass for testing.
• Work with a variety of equipment to mix and melt glasses depending on project objectives.
• Work with cutting and grinding equipment to prep refractory brick samples.
• Working in hot environment to test refractory samples.
  
  

Laboratory Technician Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High School Diploma or GED – Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with raw material splitting and grinding.
• Experience with particle size sieving.
• Comfortable working with saws and other equipment.
