The Surgical Services Support Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient surgical environment. This position supports the surgical and nursing teams by ensuring operating rooms, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained while assisting with patient transport and preparation.

Surgical Services Support Technician Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from surgical and procedural areas.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain operating room equipment and support areas.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste according to established protocols.
• Stock and organize surgical supplies and equipment.
  
  

Surgical Services Support Technician Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service, healthcare support, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform full-body motion throughout the shift.
