Interventional Radiology Technologist

The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists physicians with minimally invasive image-guided procedures by operating advanced imaging equipment, preparing patients, and maintaining a safe and efficient procedural environment. The Technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality images and supporting the care team throughout procedures.

Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional radiology procedures and image-guided interventions
• Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively and safely
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic and procedural images
• Prepare and position patients for procedures
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
• Assist physicians and other clinical staff during procedures
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and procedural records
• Document patient information in EPIC electronic medical record system, preferred
• Prepare and maintain the procedure room and imaging equipment
• Perform equipment quality checks and report any issues
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  
  

Interventional Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• Active Ohio State Radiologic Technologist License
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Previous Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and interventional imaging procedures
• Strong patient-care and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
