As a Healthcare Recruiter Trainee, you will learn the foundations of healthcare recruiting and gain hands-on experience connecting talented healthcare professionals with leading hospitals, clinics, and medical organizations. You will develop speed and efficiency in sourcing, interviewing, and placing both clinical and non-clinical professionals while supporting Hunter’s mission to deliver exceptional workforce solutions that elevate patient care and client success.
About the Role
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, healthcare, or related field.
- 1 years of customer service, sales, or healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Prior collaboration in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learn to achieve key performance metrics, including:
- Meeting financial and placement goals each quarter.
- Closing contract and direct hire placements within assigned timeframes.
- Meeting or exceeding quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop proficiency in Hunter’s ATS to manage healthcare job postings, resumes, and candidate communications.
- Learn to:
- Review and format job descriptions for healthcare roles.
- Add, track, and update candidate profiles accurately.
- Document all communications and candidate status changes.
- Create templates for outreach, submittals, and interview coordination.
- Learn how to identify, attract, and engage qualified healthcare professionals for both clinical and administrative positions.
- Utilize job boards and sourcing tools including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Vivian, and other healthcare-specific platforms.
- Apply Boolean logic to build targeted search strings and identify passive candidates.
- Maintain a consistent submission pipeline within the ATS.
- Understand compliance and credentialing requirements for healthcare professionals.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing through placement and onboarding—under supervision.
- Conduct initial pre-screens to gather key information on experience, credentials, and motivation.
- Manage follow-up communications and log all interactions in the ATS.
- Assist in creating candidate summaries and client-ready write-ups.
- Participate in interview coordination, feedback collection, and offer extensions.
- Learn to guide candidates through onboarding, ensuring all documentation meets healthcare compliance standards (e.g., background checks, medical clearances).
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidates to ensure engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Learn to manage post-placement check-ins and address feedback proactively.
- Uphold Hunter’s reputation for integrity, reliability, and care in every candidate interaction.
- Gain a foundational understanding of healthcare compliance, credentialing, and workforce regulations.
- Complete assigned company trainings, including cybersecurity and healthcare data privacy.
- Learn interdepartmental workflows across Operations, Business Development, Marketing, and Recruitment.
