What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor position at Hunter Hamilton?
We're seeking an experienced HSE Consultant to join the team with a global biotechnology company in the Franklin MA area!
This person will provide management/supervision to ensure all site associates understand and comply with all applicable regulatory, plant and corporate EHS and related policies and procedures.
This role will work part-time 1-2 days/week (8 per week) on an indefinite basis. There is the flexibility to work 1 8-hour day or 2 4-hour shifts.
Responsibilities -
- Ensures that all EHS reporting is completed timely and accurately
- Maintains safety systems, policies, and procedures for the site
- Inspects facilities, machinery, equipment, and personnel practices to identify potential safety and health concerns and hazards
- Conducts accident investigation and provides recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Acts as Company representative in dealing with government agencies on safety, health and environmental matters affecting the site
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
- Compiles and submits required safety, health, and environmental reports to corporate and regulatory agencies
- Assist with managing contractor EHS compliance
Requirements -
- 5-10 years of hands-on HSE experience, ideally chemical handling
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or scientific field preferred
- CSP or CIH certification ideal or OSHA 30-hour certified
- Proficient computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
- Ability to deliver training materials utilizing various types of media
- The employee will occasionally have to lift up to 50 pounds
Salary : $45 - $50
