Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior FP&A Analyst will independently perform financial planning and analysis activities, including month-end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. This role plays a critical part in providing financial insights to business leaders, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities also include journal entries and ad hoc general ledger support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end financial close activities, including journal posting, report generation, and analysis of financial results
• Partner with General Ledger, Project Accounting, and Operations teams during month-end close to review and understand financial results
• Investigate and explain material variances between actual results and budget/forecast at a detailed line-item level
• Provide clear, concise financial analysis and commentary for month-end and management reports
• Collaborate with Corporate and Regional department managers to understand monthly overhead spending
• Work closely with Business Unit leaders to review month-end results and gather feedback on material gross margin and overhead variances
• Develop, maintain, and distribute weekly and monthly management reports to support data-driven decision-making
• Participate in FP&A activities related to the annual budget, mid-year bottom-up forecast, and monthly high-level forecast cycles
• Prepare budget and forecast reports, including variance analysis between forecast cycles
• Support department owners in building bottom-up budgets and forecasts within the financial reporting system
• Build financial models and business cases to support new investments, strategic initiatives, and other key business decisions
• Provide ad hoc FP&A and General Ledger support as needed
• Proactively manage assignments by discussing priorities, expectations, and deadlines, while seeking feedback and coaching when appropriate
• Adapt quickly to changes in processes, systems, or business requirements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and industry best practices
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (required)
• Master’s degree preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant financial analysis or FP&A experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial problems
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Experience with OneStream or Hyperion preferred
• Oracle experience a plus
• CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organization
