Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including preconstruction, estimating support, procurement, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and monthly financial reporting.
- Oversee project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved while proactively identifying and mitigating schedule or budget risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
- Coordinate subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Lead project meetings, including owner meetings, OAC meetings, and internal coordination sessions.
- Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify project risks and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track.
- Support business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal support, and participation in project interviews as needed.
- 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, including lump sum, GMP, and design-build delivery methods.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Procore and Primavera P6 (or similar platforms).
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and change order management.
- Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
