The Humane Society of Missouri has a long history of helping animals find their forever homes. We are looking for a new HR Director who will serve the people who help our animals. Our current Director is retiring.
The outstanding candidate will have at least 5 years of manager or director level experience in HR, with knowledge/experience in:
- Advising managers about employee issues or other employee relations activities
- Employment law
- Benefits administration for medical, disability, life and FSA plans
- ADP payroll/benefits/time off modules
- Disciplinary action
- FMLA Administration
- Workers' compensation including incident reporting
- Recruiting and interviewing for veterinarians and management positions
- Creating or changing policies for the employee handbook
- Compensation management
- Responding to unemployment or discrimination claims
- Responding to any OSHA complaints or activity
- Planning and implementing employee appreciation events
- Experience in supervisory training is a plus
In addition to 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, we need someone who is excellent at building relationships, is very organized and is a great communicator. Please don't apply if you don't love animals.
