Job Title: Senior Work Control Planner

Duration: 1 year with potential for extension(s)

Location: 100% Onsite in Aiken, SC

Short Summary about Job:

HukariAscendent is seeking a Senior Work Control Planner to develop and review large and complex work packages including written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance or modification work activities. This role supports DOE nuclear facility operations and requires a comprehensive understanding of site work control procedures, radiological control, and quality assurance practices. A 40-hour work week is standard with overtime expected as needed to meet deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical discipline and at least 4-5 years of practical experience in work control, materials management, E&I / mechanical maintenance, or related areas. Associate’s degree in a technical or mechanical area and at least 8 years of practical experience. High school diploma and at least 10-12 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.
• Ability to understand and interpret various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking work planning activities.
• Ability to coordinate the work of teams, set and meet goals and objectives, and prioritize work.
• Working knowledge of DOE, Federal and state regulations as well as existing engineering and quality assurance standards and procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of site work control procedures and work practices, radiological control, quality assurance, configuration management, material control, and procedures for both maintenance and operations related areas.
• Thorough understanding from a conceptual level of various processes, systems, and equipment.
• Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lockout point identification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years is preferred.
• Previous DOE facility work planner experience within the last 3 years is preferred.
