Job Title: Senior Training Specialist
Duration: 6 months (Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager)
Location: 100% Onsite. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate’s expense. Submissions close 1/15 5:00PM EST.
Short Summary about Job:
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of instructional support functions including analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training. Using effective training methods, provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs safely and competently. This position focuses on rigging and crane operations training.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma 12 Years Relevant Experience in Education or in the field being instructed OR 10 years facility operations experience
- AS Degree 8 Years Relevant Experience in Education or in the field being instructed
- BS/BA Degree 4 Years Relevant Experience in Education or in the field being instructed
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance (not initially required; will be notified when to apply based on specific work assignments)
- Complete requirements for a qualified Instructional Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years
- BS/BA Degree
- Two years’ Training and/or Education experience
- 10 years specialized experience as a qualified/certified Rigger or Mobile Crane operator
- Substantial expertise and working knowledge of rigging and crane operations, standards, and practices
- Knowledgeable of Learning Management System (LMS)
- Familiar in the content of lessons, generalizations of concepts, and applications to rigging/crane equipment operation(s)
- Currently or able to qualify as an instructor in accordance with the 4B Manual
- Working knowledge of TM90-7 The Site Hoisting and Rigging Manual
- Possess the depth and breadth of knowledge and skills of an Instructor/Developer
- Substantial experience with the systematic approach to training processes to provide guidance and evaluate instructional staff and instructional materials for compliance, adequacy, completeness, accuracy, and effectiveness
Miscellaneous/Additional Information
- Work Schedule: Mon-Thur 6:00a-4:30p
- Estimated Hours Per Year: 1040 ST
- Interview Process: MS Teams
- A 40 hour work week is scheduled. Various work schedules may be utilized including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10’s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80’s (9 hours/day). Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables.
