Quality Assurance Process Engineer Specialist: Loves Park, ILOur client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist / Process Engineer to join our growing team at a precision machining manufacturer. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of ISO standards, quality management systems, and manufacturing process improvements. If you thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and are passionate about continuous improvement, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.Key Responsibilities:Serve as company representative for ISO 9001 as QMS leadConduct internal audits, maintain QMS documentation, and resolve nonconformitiesWrite work instructions and SOPs, develop new quality policiesTrain staff on quality procedures and QMS complianceCollect and analyze quality metrics; report KPIs monthly and annuallyWrite and maintain CMM programsOversee final inspection, shipping, and receiving processesEnsure calibration of all measurement and testing equipmentConduct root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actionsCollaborate on PPAP submissions and customer specificationsHost or attend customer visits as neededSupport machinists and operators with programming, setup, and troubleshootingDocument and enhance machining processes for repeatability and efficiencyPerform capability studies on machines and critical partsAudit manufacturing processes for compliance and optimizationCollaborate with Cost Engineering and Production to streamline methodsRecommend manufacturing methods for new jobs and assess fit for productionSkills & Experience:Education: Associate’s degree in engineering or manufacturing operations, strongly preferredExperience: 5 years in a quality-focused supervisory role, required; Previous machining experience, strongly preferredKnowledge: Strong background in ISO 9001 &/or 9002, quality systems & audit management, CMM programming, GD&T, & PPAP processes, requiredSoftware: PC-DMIS & Microsoft Office Suite, strongly preferredWhat We Offer:Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance401(k)PTOPaid HolidaysPay: $68,000 - $75,000/yearType: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. If you are passionate about quality, efficiency, and working with a collaborative team, apply now!Hughes Resources is a full-service human resources agency headquartered in Freeport, IL, and has 11 locations across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
