Description
Under the immediate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining hospital grounds, building and equipment. Provides security coverage thru routine building rounds and patient restraint by request. Maintains grounds, parking lots, and walkways thru effective snow/ice removal. Responsible for assisting in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring safe and proper operation of all hospital equipment. Will also be responsible for building custodial needs as required.
Maintenance
1 Meets with the Maintenance Supervisor to discuss daily work schedules, preventative maintenance schedules, priority work orders, and ongoing projects
2 Inspects tests, maintains, installs, and repairs hospital equipment as found, required or assigned.
3 Maintains completion of work orders, reading rounds and preventative work order maintenance within the CMMS system on their assigned tablets.
4 Maintains adequate inventory of parts using established. Informs supervisor when parts are needed.
5 Assists in the repair of hospital mechanical equipment, according to published manufacturer's guidelines assuring that all equipment operates within established limits set by the manufacturer.
6 Maintains grounds, parking lots, and walkways for seasonal needs, including effective snow/ice removal.
7 Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry duties.
8 Complies with OSHA Safety and health Rules. Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
9 Works with a minimal amount of supervision on a daily basis.
10 Provides courier duties to off-site locations as required.
Security
11 Performs other duties as requested/required.
1 As a representative of Security, responds to emergency situations including Code Red, Code White/Orange/Amber and Code Silver.
2 Maintains building security by locking/unlocking doors according to written policy.
3 Provides escort/transport of patients/visitors when required or requested. Assists authorized personnel with entry into offices and spaces required or requested.
4 Conducts landing zone safety and security for helicopter landings/take-offs.
5 Completes required annual training for Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) and restraint training.
Custodial
1 Removes and properly disposes of hospital refuse, regulated medical, sharps and confidential waste on a routine/required schedule.
Organizational Expectations
Minimum two (2) years of experience in related facilities maintenance capacity.
Valid state driver's license
