Qualified Candidates can become Certificated in Practical Veterinary Nursing
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostics.
- Educate pet owners on proper care and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate medical records and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and their pets.
- High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is a MUST.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for animal welfare.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift and handle animals of various sizes.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor and strong team collaboration skills.
