We are seeking an experienced veterinary assistant or registered veterinary technician to join our amazing team. We are hiring for a full time permanent position. The candidate must be very dependable and have schedule flexibility. We are a full service clinic including digital radiography, ultrasound, in house labwork, and CO2 Laser surgical procedures serving Butts County and the surrounding areas. We are a fast paced growing veterinary hospital and we perform a variety of procedures. The ideal candidate is a friendly and enthusiastic team player that has a passion for quality veterinary care, client education and customer service. Candidate must love pets and their owners! Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments and examinations.
- Monitor animal vital signs and provide basic care, including feeding and administering medications.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with laboratory tests as needed.
- Educate pet owners on proper care and health maintenance for their animals.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic and animal enclosures.
Qualifications
- Proven veterinary experience and animal handling skills
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Proficiency in animal catheterization and restraint techniques
- Familiarity with pet care and animal anatomy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
