Pharmacist

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join a locally owned independent community pharmacy in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, located approximately 20–30 minutes north of Madison.

This is an opportunity to build a career in a patient-focused pharmacy environment where pharmacists can develop professionally, build meaningful relationships with patients, and have more flexibility and autonomy than is typically available in a corporate pharmacy setting.

Compensation & Schedule

$124,800–$142,000 per year, negotiable based on experience

• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Approximately 10–40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• Pharmacy hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, every other Saturday with flexibility
• Closed Sundays and major holidays
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
• Potential sign-on bonus after a 6-month commitment

Pharmacy Environment

• Locally owned independent community pharmacy
• Approximately 200–300 prescriptions per weekday

Professional Development

This position provides an opportunity to gain broader exposure to independent pharmacy operations and develop additional leadership and management skills.

Prior pharmacy management experience is highly valued, but it is not required for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and accurately dispense prescriptions
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, interactions and adherence
• Administer immunizations
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily workflow
• Support non-sterile compounding as needed
• Assist with adherence packaging and unit-dose programs
• Provide MTM/CMR services
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA
• Provide professional, personalized customer service
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient patient care

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License in good standing and without restrictions
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
• APhA Immunization Certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a community pharmacy environment
• Professional, team-oriented approach to patient care
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
