Hudson River Truck and Trailer is seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Mechanic / Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
We are a leading truck distributor specializing in the installation of truck bodies and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and welding experience, along with hands-on experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and fabricate truck bodies and equipment
- Weld and fabricate components using MIG welding
- Install dump bodies, lift gates, flatbeds, hoists, snowplow equipment, and other truck equipment
- Work with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
- Safely perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Prioritize and manage multiple jobs effectively
- Organize and complete work in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- 3 years of welding and mechanical experience required
- Experienced with MIG welding and fabrication
- Hydraulic experience required
- Electrical experience required
- Must have your own tools
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work during snow and winter weather
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Salary commensurate with experience
